What happens before evidence counts
Checked against the boundary
A visit's recorded position is tested against the site boundary you mapped. Evidence captured somewhere else does not quietly become part of your figures.
Duplicate detection
Photographs are fingerprinted by content, so the same image re-uploaded under a new name is recognised — including across different visits.
Independent approval
A submitter can never approve their own visit. This is enforced in the platform's core logic, not left to a reviewer to remember.
Reject with a reason
A reviewer can send a visit back with an explanation, and the volunteer can correct and resubmit. The whole exchange stays on the record.
Watermarked evidence
Uploaded images are processed in the background to produce watermarked and thumbnail versions without holding up the person in the field.
A complete visit history
Every state change is recorded with who made it and when, so a visit's history can be reconstructed months later.
GPS verified
Evidence is validated against actual mapped site boundaries — not against a postcode, a project address, or the location a phone was in when the file was uploaded.
Independent approval
Submitters cannot approve their own field evidence. Separation of duties is part of the domain logic, which means it holds even for an administrator.
